2-5 On this Scout Sunday, a special welcome is
extended to members, leaders, and families of the scouting program who are
present with us today. We thank them for participating in our 10:30
service. Good Hope Church is sponsor for Boy Scout Troop 60 and Cub
pack 60. The altar flowers are given to the glory of God by
Richard and Ruthie Pollock. Today’s worship bulletins are given by Ron and
Debbie Wilson in honor of their grandchildren, Elizabeth Grace and Marcus
Paul on the anniversaries of their baptisms on February 3 and February 20. The communion wine is given by Gene and Marilyn
Gebhardt in honor of Marilyn’s 75th birthday on February 4. We thank Maxine Brown for baking today’s communion bread. THIS WEEK AT A GLANCE February 5 – February 11 Today:

Blessing of the Prayer Shawls Injili – An African Worship Experience Holy Communion TODAY! 8, 9:15, and 10:30 Injili means “Gospel of Jesus Christ” in Ki-swahili which
is the language of Tanzania. The joy of Injili is expressed in the
Tanzania musical settings of this worship. This morning it will
lead Christians who otherwise may have no chance to meet Tanzanians or visit
Africa to praise God in a similar spirit. Today is Pantry Sunday. On the first Sunday of each
month, you are invited to bring a boxed or canned food item, or paper
product, and place it in the container in the hall. These items are
given to the local Salvation Army for distribution. Pastor Hap is preaching and presiding this morning at the
8:15 and 10:30 services at St. John Lutheran Church (Windfall) in
Cardington. Those folks who have ordered submarine sandwiches may
pick them up today in the auditorium. The confirmation classes will meet today at 3:00 p.m.
The study topic is “The Seven Funniest Bible Stories”. Please keep
these young people in your prayers as they grow in their Christian faith. |
