What are your favorite hymns?   If you have one or more favorite hymns that you would like to have the congregation sing during worship, please write the name or hymn number on your worship registration card today!

It’s not too late to place your order for a beautiful Easter lily, hyacinth, or tulip that will grace our chancel on Easter Sunday, April 4. You may purchase a spring plant in memory or in honor of loved ones through the sale described on the yellow order form found on the narthex wall racks, in the church office, or in your March Steeple Notes.  Each plant is only $8.50.  The proceeds ($1.50 from each plant) will be given to Good Hope’s Good Samaritan Fund.  Please make checks payable to Good Hope Lutheran Church.  The deadline to purchase your plant(s) through this sale is TOMORROW!  Plants from local stores or florists must be marked in whose memory or honor the plant is given and delivered to the church by 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 3.

MAPLE SYRUP FESTIVAL

Lutheran Memorial Camp

 10:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Cost for the meal (pancakes, sausage and real maple syrup): $6.50 for adults and $4.50 for children ages 5-12.  LMC is located just south of Fulton on route 61.

Seventh and eighth grade confirmands – don’t forget to get your $30 and your confirmation camp registration form in to Good Hope by March 22!  After March 22, your cost is $45 – so you will save $15 by paying by the March 22 deadline!  Confirmation camp is June 20-25 at Lutheran Memorial Camp.  The church office has extra registration forms if you’ve lost yours!

The Youth Fellowship will be offering an Easter breakfast on Sunday, April 4 from 8:00-10:30 a.m. in the church dining room.  They are accepting (and would be very grateful for) donations of breakfast casseroles, juice, milk, fruit, and baked goods.  If you can help with any of these items, please write what you wish to donate on your worship registration card.  A casserole recipe is available at the church office.

If you would like to help with the breakfast for the Gideons on Saturday morning, March 20^th, call Sarah  

Pre-Holy Week Breakfast: Saturday, March 27^th, 9:30 in the dining room.  The program is meditations on the Stations of the Cross.  All ladies and gentlemen of Good Hope as well as friends are invited.  Martin Luther and Nevada Lutheran congregations have been extended an invitation.  Men of Hope, come on down after your meeting in the lounge.  Please sign your worship registration card if you’ll be attending.  Call Sarah  if you’d like to help with preparation.

 The Lutheran Social Services Auxiliary meeting is Tuesday, March 23^rd at Cardington St. John Windfall.  Be at the church parking lot by 12:15 if you wish to go along.  If you can’t go but want to send along an item needed to set up housekeeping and/or a new winter coat (men’s, women’s, children’s—any size) have it at the church by Monday, March 22^nd.

Congregational Birthday Supper, Sunday, April 25^th, 5:00.  There are still 8 months that need cake bakers and table decorators.  Sign up soon on the bulletin board in the office hallway and get creative.  We can’t have a birthday supper without a birthday cake for each month! 

THANK YOU for your continued financial support.  You should soon receive your next quarter (April-June) offering envelope booklet in the mail.  Please remember to notify the church office of any address changes as soon as they are known.

The 2010 flower, bulletin, and wine charts are available to you on the wall across from the lounge entrance.  Sign up to donate altar flowers, or the cost of worship bulletins ($25) or communion wine ($12).  Be sure you are signing the right chart!  You will be contacted the week prior to your sign-up date.  Also available to you is a radio broadcast chart!  Sign up to donate $100 for one (1) Sunday’s radio broadcast of the 10:30 service in memory or in honor of loved ones or to dedicate the Sunday in honor of a special birthday or anniversary!  Your name and your special dedication will be broadcast over WBCO at the beginning of the service on the Sunday you specify.
